About Us

Matt and Lorena Roos both spent their childhood in the mountains.  Matt in the Adirondacks of upstate New York and Lorena in the Cordillera de Los Andes of Peru.  Their professional lives diverted their journey for a time, then on a trip west, they once again reconnected with the mountains.  On what was once a high country legacy cattle ranch that was staked in the land rush of the 1880’s they have found a small piece of paradise in the Wind River Range of Wyoming.

The ranch sits on a small plateau just above the New Fork River which is a tailwater of New Fork Lake.  With no public access upstream there is no float traffic and owning both sides of the river allows for a completely private fly fishing experience on 2.5 miles of blue ribbon water.  Dry fly fishing with 2wt. rods makes for a very memorable day of sight fishing.  The river was completely restored in 2018 and provides a very diverse selection of water. Species native to these waters include brown, cutthroat, rainbow, cutbow, and brook trout.

The 2 acre pond on property is stocked with cutthroat, rainbow, and brown trout.  There is a shade structure with deck and couches as well as a dock and rope swing which makes for a great summer afternoon in the sun.

If a more adventurous day is in order take our ATVs and rafts to float the river or take the paddle board a short drive to New Fork Lake and paddle the lake.

After a long day sip some beverages at our fully stocked bar and challenge yourself to a game of pool.  Enjoy a meal prepared by our award winning Peruvian Chef Jesus Rojas. Then head back outdoors to sit by the firepit or in the spa and watch the wonders of the night sky.

The wildlife viewing is spectacular with moose, antelope, and mule deer residing on the property in addition to many species of eagles, hawks, cranes, and waterfowl.

If you enjoy the mountains, flyfishing, or just need to recharge and reconnect with nature we have what you are looking for…
